Surprise surprise-this isn't a fashion post (this is a good thing-I am sparing you all from having to see my orange hair haha)! I'll be back with outfit photos soon, but until then hopefully this will do :) I truly believe that home style and personal fashion style are very closely related, and while my main focus will always be fashion, I might pop in a home decor haul every once in a while!
Over the last year I have (slowly but surely) been working to revamp my bedroom. One of the things I had wanted to do for a long time was to create a really usable workspace for myself. I do a lot of work from home, so having a separate space to really zone into my job is key to my lifestyle. Before I had this workspace, I spent a lot of time working from my bed: NOT the most productive place (unless you count napping as productivity). While I wouldn’t say it’s perfect yet, I am super excited about this space so far and wanted to share it!
The biggest decision I had to make was-the the anchor of any workspace-the desk. I wanted it to fit the style of my room, while also being versatile enough to one day move to it’s own office.
Enter, stage right: The West Elm Pasons Desk.
I am SO in love. It’s modern AND classic- I can honestly see it working in almost any space.
The next big addition was my washi tape collage. While I love the idea of a traditional framed gallery wall, I have a lot of other framed prints and art around my room and this is a fun way to break it up! Using washi tape means you can easily remove pictures and start all over whenever you want-perfect for an inspiration board (and I personally prefer it to a standard bulletin board).
After I had those two main elements in place, I added an awesome lamp from target and a few other fun accessories/books to add the finishing touches!
